Privacy notice

Last updated 29 October 2026

This notice explains how we use information you give us through practicebetween.com, mainly the early access form. It's written to be read, not to impress lawyers. If anything is unclear, email us.

It covers this website only. If you use a school's practice app built on Practice Between, that school is responsible for your information there and will give you its own privacy notice.

Who we are

Practice Between is run by Chris Kennedy, a sole trader. For the purposes of UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), Chris Kennedy is the controller of the information described here.

What we collect

When you join early access, we collect what you type into the form: your name, your school's name, your email address, what you teach, roughly how many students you have and whether you teach companies. We also record how you found us (for example, the website or campaign that sent you here) so we know which messages are working. We don't record your IP address with your details.

When you email us, we keep the email and our reply.

When you visit the site, we count visits using Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn't use cookies, doesn't track you across other websites and doesn't identify you. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, also keeps short-lived technical logs to keep the site running and secure.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

We won't add you to a mailing list or send you marketing newsletters. If we ever want to, we'll ask first.

Cookies

This website doesn't set any cookies, so there's no cookie banner. The fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers to download them.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your information or share it with other companies for their own use. We use a small number of service providers who handle it on our behalf, under contracts that require them to keep it safe:

Some of these providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, they use the safeguards UK law requires, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

How long we keep it

We keep early access details for up to 24 months after we were last in touch, then delete them. If your school goes on to use Practice Between, we keep what we need to run that relationship for as long as it lasts. You can ask us to delete your details sooner at any time.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

Email admin@practicebetween.com and we'll reply within one month. There's no charge.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we use your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If a change affects you significantly, we'll tell you directly.
